So, on August 6th, 1945, the U.S. dropped a bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. This was sort of an unnecessary strike back from President Truman. Basically, revenge after the pearl Harbor incident. This is the same Hiroshima Prefecture Industrial Promotion Hall, only, after the the atomic bombing. These are the left over ruins. It is now known as the Atomic Bomb Dome. Self-explanatory. So it shows just how fast things disappear after just a significant moment. The building no longer looked the same, nor did it have the same feeling, that day at approximately 8:15 am.

When i look at something like this, i see very strong and inspirational people. A terrible event has just occurred, but they do give up. In fact, they continue to move on with life in whichever way they can, especially after having an explosion hit your city just moments before. These people will now undergo physical, emotional, and mental trauma. But they continue to live. I can only imagine having myself in the same situation. Walking next to dead bodies, as an adult or child, it would still hit me pretty hard.

It's a lot to handle. To be a survivor and have this image in your mind forever, is one of the hardest things to do. So much is happening, in so little time. I see agony, fear, panic, and destruction. It's not something you live everyday to see. But to have it happen right in front of you, to be a witness, and then draw it, is something extremely extraordinary.
